Qualitative Fit Testing (Bittrex)

REC provide Qualitative Fit Testing utilizing Bittrex solution and is designed to help employers meet the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for workers who use respirators in the workplace.

Having conducted well over 3000 Qualitative Fit Tests, REC will ensure that all trainees know and understand:

• WHY Fit Tests are important. 

• WHEN to wear, and not to wear their N95, including its limitations.

• WHAT to wear, including the limitations, use and care.

• HOW to don and doff the respirator.

• WHO needs to wear a respirator.

All Attendees Will:

• Observe their trainer donning and doffing the N95 safely, including performing the fit check.

• Don and doff the N95, with direct observation by the trainer, ensuring the fit check is completed.

• Actively participate in their 3-minute Fit Test, following each directive by the trainer.

• Report any failures to the trainer, and reschedule their test.

• Be provided with water throughout the test, and a treat when the test is complete.
